(EXAMPLE ENTRY — PLACEHOLDER UNTIL THE COMMUNITY DEFINES IT)

Classification

A shifting landmark; purpose undetermined

General Description

Quillburrow is the name locals use for a place that refuses to settle on a single identity. Depending on the day — or perhaps depending on who is looking — it appears as something entirely different:

  • a hidden lookout perched high on an old tower, accessible only when the weather cooperates
  • a quiet tavern where travelers trade notes, maps, and theories
  • a meeting point for wandering scholars
  • a safe rest-stop for anyone who needs to catch their breath
  • or something else entirely

Despite its shifting nature, one detail is consistent: people can always find it when they need it, even if they disagree about what it looked like when they arrived.

For now, Quillburrow is more concept than place — a placeholder waiting for clearer definition.

Notable Features

  • A door that looks different each time someone describes it
  • A view that may or may not include nearby rooftops
  • A faint hum in the air, like a room preparing to become something else

None of these are confirmed, naturally, but everyone swears the reports are accurate.

Community Role (Important)

This location is intentionally left open.
The community will decide:

  • What kind of place Quillburrow truly is
  • Whether it stands still or moves
  • Whether it’s a tavern, tower, refuge, gathering hall — or all of them depending on the season
  • Who (or what) is found there
  • And how it connects to the rest of the world

Future entries will refine it as members contribute sketches, descriptions, theories, and stories.

Notes for Future Study

  • What is the buildings “default” form, if it has one?
  • Why do maps disagree about its elevation?
  • Does the place react to those who visit it, or to those who imagine it?
